Netwinner is SO awesome!

For the past couple of days I have been playing around on Netwinner while on the internet. It really is a lot of fun and an awesome way to earn some cool gift cards while online!

At Netwinner you simply play games such as, Banko (which is like Bingo!) and MoneyWheel. They don't require a lot of time or participation, I just keep the window open while I check email, read blogs, etc.

You play for points and you can even win cash! Netwinner also has an amazing jackpot worth over $1 million! The points you can redeem for gift cards for Mastercard debit card, Gap, Barnes and Noble and more! You can even redeem your points for magazine subscriptions! I really love this site!

Merry Christmas!

Our family had a very nice Christmas! We spent under $1,000 for everyone:

Our family:
Myself
My husband
Our 6 year old son
Our 19 months old daughter

My side of the family:
Mom
Keith (mom's husband)
Dad
Deb (my stepmom)
Deb's mom
My brother Jared
4 of my cousins
4 Aunts
4 Uncles
Nan and Pap
I even got presents for my nan's dog (who used to be our dog) and her cat! (free food I got with coupons!)

My husband's "side":
13 of my husband's coworkers
A pollyanna gift for a coworker
My father in law and his girlfriend

A lot of the gifts I got next to nothing by using coupons and bartering my pads. I was able to get 6 bags of Starbucks coffee in exchange for pads, as well as a BUNCH of Mary Kay stuff in exchange for pads. I also made all the gifts for my husband's coworkers. We also bought some stuff on clearance long before the holidays.

I was awfully busy this month because of Christmas and I have lots of plans for January. I am starting to feel more motivation towards getting out of debt and making extra money. I have some major goals for 2008!

Off course

This month hasn't been so good with finances. We aren't spending money like we used to, but with the holidays it seems that a lot of unexpected things keep popping up. Especially last night.

My husband went out to dinner with his department. It's only 6 people (including him) and it was one of those things where you "had" to go. They went to a fancy restaurant and he only got a caesar salad and coffee, because he didn't want to spend a lot of money.

Last time his department went out everyone figured out what they owed for their meal and that's what they paid. Before the night of the dinner, it was agreed that this time would be the same thing. Yet, when the bill came for over $200 everyone - including my husband - had to pay $40. He was livid, but there was nothing he could do but pay. His boss was there and the rest were important people that he works with. Sometimes you have to keep up appearances.

Everyone got drinks, a big entree and desserts, but my huband ending up paying for it. He also had to get a pollyanna gift that was decided without my husband's prior knowledge and it was $15, plus we had to get a gift bag for it. Then he had to put in $15 for his boss's gift and now we have 13 more gifts to give his other coworkers. I am making chocolate dipped apples with peppermint pieces, I will update with more details when I make them.

To make things worse, our driver's side headlight on our Vibe is out and needs to be fixed. This January the car needs to go in for inspection as well, so there's going to be a lot of auto expenses. I have been making a lot of gifts so I haven't had time to make pads or make money online. I am still getting a very small amount of income from Cash Crate and a few rebate checks have been coming in the mail as well.

I really hope to start fresh in 2008. I am a person who believes in New Year's resolutions and everyone needs a new start. I plan to attack our debt just as soon as things get back to normal. I vow that next year I will be even more organized for the holidays. I always start late when making gifts but I am going to be making them throughout the year so I'm not in a mad dash to get as many done as I can in November and December.

At this point I am anxious for the holidays to be over and for the New Year to start!

Lots of diapers!

At my daughter's last doctor's appointment, I was advised to use disposables on her due to a blister-like rash she had developed. As soon as I switched the rash went away. I'm not sure what it was about the cloth diapers that brought about a bad rash, but I switched temporarily. I was a little worried about the cost and the harm I was causing to the environment for using disposables. Obviously my daughter's health and well being are important so the cons to disaposbles would have to be forgotten.

Well the rash is clearing up but I was able to get some diapers for free with coupons and sales, especially with my CVS extra care bucks. I was down to my last pack of diapers and I decided I'd finally go back to the cloth. Then after visiting my grandparents this past weekend, I now have 3 cases of diapers! My uncle left them at my grandparents for me to take home, he saved them from the landfill and figured someone would use them!

All 3 cases are Pampers, 2 of them are a size 4 and for boys (but it doesn't matter!) and the other one is a size 5 for girls. I happily took them because it saves me money on hot water and detergent. Yes I will contributing more to the landfill, but they were headed there anyways, might as well use them right?

I also found more diapers! Today while I was digging out our Christmas decorations and artificial tree (hey, every little bit helps!) I found an old pack of diapers from my son! They are a few years old, but there's nothing wrong with them. I didn't use them with my son because by the time I was given them, he was already too big.

So now I have tons of diapers and I will be saving a lot of money. Now, if only I could sell her old smaller cloth diapers and covers, it'd be even better!

No more Adsense or Websites

Well, my adsense account was disabled. My account went from $7.44 to over $50 in just the span of a week, so I guess they got paranoid that people were actually making money or something and disabled my account. I am not happy about this and I don't know why they canceled it, however, I will not be begging them to reinstate my account for a couple of reasons:

1. I won't get my earnings back, they are being sent back to the advertisers
2. I don't want to risk this happening again
3. I am pissed at Google right now

So forget it, I'm done with them, which means I'm done with websites. I wanted to try and get more into niche sites, but without being able to use adsense on them, they'd be a waste of time and money. I am not going to go that route with making money online, so I canceled my hostgator account and my first niche site is down.

I decided that I don't want to spend any money to make money online. I will stick with doing offers on GPT sites and gaining referrals, as well as writing articles. So, that's over with, all adsense is gone from my blogs. If anyone knows of other paid to advertise programs, please let me know.

November Online Earnings and Progress

I did better than I expected for November! I knew from the beginning that I wasn't going to make much online because I was planning on spending a lot of time making pads to earn money for Christmas. Plus, I have been spending a lot of time making gifts for Christmas also. That doesn't leave much time for making much money online.

I did meet my goal of $500, but most of it is from money that wasn't earned online. Here's a breakdown:

Get Paid To Sites:
Cash Crate - $26.31
Deal Barbie Pays - $26.20
Race4Offers - $24.82

Misc:
Associated Content - $51.88 (articles and performance bonuses!)

Total Online Earnings - $129.21

Misc. Income:
Retirement refund - $365.29
Rebates - $2.99
Check from grandparents - $40.00
Interest from bank accounts - $6.57

Total Misc. Income - $414.85

Grand Total of Earnings for November - $537.49

With the money I've made online and with misc. earnings from the past few months, we've been able to pay off some more debt! Our total debt paid off since July has been $2,623.60! By the end of December we are going to try and pay off almost $2,000 more! I am pretty pleased with November, I am going to try really hard to make December even better!
